The Linux Business Adoption Application Award Presentation
Ceremony was held as the opening for the 2 days Linux World Conference
& Expo - Hong Kong 2003 on Nov 4th and 5th in the Hong Kong
Convention & Exhibition Center. Our client, The Hong Kong Council
of the Church of Christ in China won the Grand Prize Award under
the category of Primary School Education Application.
The Award consists of four categories, namely,
Office Automation and Business Application, Infrastructure Building
and Communication Application, Educational Application, and Linux
Appliance. The applicants are being judged on eight different areas.
They are business objectives and benefits, scale and scope of deployment,
implementation strategy and process, technology deployment and flexibility,
innovation, cost effectiveness, benefits to society and business
results.
The Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in
China has 90% of their total 10 servers running on Linux serving
more than tens of thousands of students, parents and outsiders.
They have utilized ThizLinux web-based applications solutions to
improve working process and reduce overall IT expenses. More on

During the ceremony, our Vice President - International
Business, Isabella Lee, was honored to be the awarder for the education
category for the Award Ceremony.
Moreover, ThizLinux was the platinum sponsor of
the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo. We were provided a booth in
the exhibition venue for promoting our brand and products. The 2-day
event attracted more than 400 people visited our booth.
